What's new?

We added Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD) as balance currencies to the Paddle platform.

As a result, AUD and CAD are now allowed values for the original chargeback fee when working with adjustments.

How it works

The Paddle platform supports over 25 different currencies out-of-the-box, with no additional setup or engineering effort required.

When customers make a purchase in any currency, Paddle adds your earnings from that purchase to your balance. If the payment currency is different to your balance currency, Paddle converts earnings to your balance currency automatically.

Previously, you could hold your balance in US Dollar (USD), euro (EUR), or Pound Sterling (GBP). With this update, we added two new balance currencies: Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD).

For Paddle platform users in countries that use Australian or Canadian dollars, this means you can get paid by Paddle in the same currency as your balance, reducing FX fees for payouts.

Next steps

This change is available now.

You can update your balance currency by going to Paddle > Business account > Currencies.

Changes to your balance currency apply after we've paid out your remaining balance.
